How Much Does a Fluffy Corgi Puppy Cost in Missouri?
If you have started searching for a fluffy Pembroke Welsh Corgi, the first thing you notice is that prices vary wildly. Here is what a puppy costs at our farm near Elmer, Missouri, what that price covers, and how to tell a fair price from a bargain that costs more later.
What is the price of a fluffy corgi puppy?
Pet-home puppies from Fluffy Corgis of Missouri are $2,250. These are purebred AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgis sold with AKC Limited Registration, which means they are family companions and are not intended for breeding. This pricing took effect January 1, 2026, and pricing and process are subject to change, so always confirm with me when you apply.
A small number of puppies may be sold with full AKC registration and breeding rights to approved programs. Those range from $4,000 to $4,500 depending on the dam and sire. I only consider a breeding program after a conversation about goals, health testing and how the puppy will be raised, so please do not assume every puppy is available with full rights.
What does the price include?
Every puppy goes home with AKC Limited Registration, an AKC Reunite microchip with lifetime pet recovery, a full health record and vaccination schedule, and a Small Animal Health Certificate. Puppies are vaccinated at six and nine weeks, dewormed, and examined by a veterinarian before they leave.
You also receive a starter bag with food, a leash, harness, Kong, treats and a grooming kit, plus a blanket with mom's scent and a toy with littermates' scent. The AKC extras include the GoodDog! Helpline with live trainer support for life, a year of Family Dog magazine, a complimentary first vet visit through the AKC Veterinary Network, and 30 days of AKC Pet Insurance.
How does the $300 deposit work?
A $300 deposit reserves your puppy or your place on the waitlist, and it comes off the purchase price. We accept Venmo, Zelle, personal check or USPS money order. The remaining balance is due in cash when you pick up or when I deliver your puppy.
Before you send anything, request the Puppy Questionnaire. I would rather talk first, make sure the match is right, and answer your questions than take a deposit from someone who is not sure.
Why do prices differ between breeders?
Raising healthy corgis costs real money. Genetic testing for DM, vWD1 and EIC, OFA exams on hips, elbows and eyes, veterinary care for the dam, vaccines, microchips, a whelping room, and hours of daily handling all add up. A very low price usually means some of that was skipped.
Ask any breeder what is included. Health testing results, a written contract, a health guarantee, and registration paperwork should be standard. Our puppies come with a two-year health guarantee covering genetic issues and conditions, excluding hip dysplasia and IVDD.
Are there delivery costs on top of the price?
If we meet half-way within about a four-hour radius, a small travel fee applies depending on distance. Meeting at Kansas City International Airport is $100 to cover the five-hour round trip, and using a USDA flight nanny also has a $100 fee for my trip to the airport, with the nanny paid separately.
You can read more on the Pricing page, which also lists the full process from questionnaire to welcome home.
Is a cheaper corgi puppy ever a good deal?
Sometimes a lower price is simply a different business model, but it is worth asking what is missing. Is there a written contract? Were the parents tested for DM, vWD1 and EIC, and do they have OFA results on hips, elbows and eyes? Is the puppy microchipped, vaccinated and examined by a vet before it leaves? If any of those answers is no, the savings can disappear in the first year.
A fair price buys a healthy start, honest paperwork and a breeder who answers the phone after you take your puppy home. I offer that support to every family, because I want each puppy to thrive for its whole life.
How can you compare breeders side by side?
Make a short list of what matters to you and ask each breeder the same questions: testing, guarantee, how puppies are raised, what comes home with the puppy and what happens if you can no longer keep the dog. Then compare the total package instead of the number at the top.
I always welcome those questions. Call or text me at (660) 234-5656 and I will answer them plainly.
What should you budget after you bring your puppy home?
Plan for food, a crate, bedding, toys, routine vet visits, grooming tools and training. Fluffy corgis need regular brushing, and corgis in general do best with measured meals and daily exercise. Your first vet visit is complimentary through the AKC Veterinary Network, which helps with the first-year budget.
If you are ready to take the next step, request the Puppy Questionnaire by calling or texting me at (660) 234-5656, or visit the Puppies page to see current and planned litters.
