Can I Get a Corgi Puppy Delivered or Flown to Me?

By Janice Sampson · Updated October 21, 2026 · 4 min read

Many of our families live far from Elmer, Missouri, and that is fine. We offer three ways to bring your puppy home, and each one has been tested by dozens of families. Here is how they work.

Option 1: Meet half-way

If you are within about a four-hour radius in the tri-state area, I can meet you part of the way. A small travel fee applies, depending on distance. This is a good choice for families who want a short drive and a personal hand-off without a flight.

Option 2: Meet at Kansas City International Airport

Fly into Kansas City International Airport and I will meet you with your puppy and a to-go bag. The $100 travel fee covers the five-hour round trip. Many families then fly home with the puppy, so check your airline's rules for traveling with a puppy before booking.

Plan a little extra time for a potty break and a quick goodbye with me.

Option 3: Use a USDA flight nanny

If you cannot travel, a USDA flight nanny can bring your puppy to you. You can use a nanny I refer or one of your choice. You work directly with the nanny on scheduling and fees. I charge $100 to cover my trip to the airport.

I recommend asking the nanny about experience, references and how the puppy will travel.

How do you prepare your puppy for travel?

Puppies are used to handling, crates and new sounds from our early training, which helps with travel. Each puppy leaves with a health record and the Small Animal Health Certificate. Bring a carrier and a towel, and keep the first day calm.

The balance is due in cash at pick-up or delivery.

What does the hand-off look like?

At pick-up or delivery, you meet your puppy, review the paperwork and health record, and pay the balance in cash. Your puppy goes home with a to-go bag, a blanket with mom's scent and a toy with littermates' scent to make the first night easier.

I am happy to answer last-minute questions and share feeding and potty tips so you leave feeling ready.

How can you keep the trip smooth?

Pack a carrier, a towel, wipes and a few treats. Offer water, plan a short potty break and keep the environment quiet and calm. Puppies often sleep through the trip after a busy morning.

If you are flying, check your airline's pet policy and carrier size before you book, and plan your flight times with a little extra buffer.

How far in advance should you plan?

Start planning when you reserve your puppy. Travel dates are easier to arrange when we know early, especially for airport meet-ups and nanny schedules. Pups go home at nine to ten weeks, and I will confirm the date as the litter grows.

Call or text (660) 234-5656 and we will find the best option for your family.

What if you live far away?

Many of our families live hundreds of miles from the farm. Between a half-way meet, a Kansas City airport hand-off and a USDA flight nanny, there is a way to reach most of the country. Tell me where you live and we can compare options and costs.

I would rather plan it together than have you worry about the trip.

What should you ask a flight nanny?

Ask how many trips the nanny has made, how the puppy will travel, how often the puppy will have breaks, what happens if flights are delayed and for references from past clients. Confirm fees in writing.

Because you work with the nanny directly, take your time choosing someone you trust.

Can you combine options?

Yes. Some families drive part of the way and meet me, others fly into Kansas City and rent a car to drive home. Mixing options can lower costs and keep the trip comfortable for the puppy.

Tell me your plan and I will help you pick the meeting spot and time.

What about the weather and the season?

Check the forecast for extreme heat or cold before you travel, and plan the trip to avoid the hottest part of the day. A shaded carrier and a calm environment make a big difference for a young puppy.

How do you pick the right option?

Think about your schedule, your comfort with flying and your budget. If you are not sure, call or text me at (660) 234-5656 and we will map out the plan together. You can also see the options on our Pricing page, or request the Puppy Questionnaire to begin.
